Abscond Reporting (Housemaid)

Amer Service

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has introduced Amer Mobile service taking visa transactions to residents' doorsteps. The service is open for individuals and companies regardless of their location inside Dubai.

Amer mobile service works from 8am to 8pm. The staff of the Amer service will visit members of public who wish to use this service.

Amer mobile service is now accessible to individuals, corporations and government departments, and the service request can be placed by calling toll-free number. The service will be delivered at customers' premises.

Cancellation-Employment Visa

Dos and don’ts to avoid trouble with maids
• Give the maid a true picture of what to expect before she comes to work for you. Make her understand she is not coming for a holiday abroad

• Choose a maid who does not have an ailing husband or small kids back home. They may have genuine concerns and can easily become homesick

• Wait for a month before you stamp the visa on the passport. That gives you enough time to study her behaviour and commitment to work.

• Don’t let your housemaid go out unaccompanied for a long period of time. You are inviting trouble.

• Always keep monthly salary slips and make your maid signs on them on their pay day. You may need to show proof at the embassy (GN).

Cancellation Family Visa

What are the documents required to cancel my family's visa in Dubai?

Visa cancellation can be completed from Typing centre without visiting Immigration counter.

Required Documents: (Family visa cancellation - Inside Country)

• Original Passport of Sponsored and Sponsor
• Original Emirates ID of sponsor
• Application should be typed in Vision form and cancellation can be done from typing centre itself without visiting Immigration Department. Cancellation approval will come within an hour and you can get the confirmation print from Typing Centre.
Cancellation stamp on Visa page in the passport is not required. If you want seal, you can visit nearest Immigration branch with original passport and cancellation receipt. They will put stamp without any fee.


Required Documents: (Family visa cancellation - Outside Country)
• Original Passport
• Passport copy of sponsor
• Application should be typed in old e-form (available in Typing Centre)
• Put signature of the sponsor on the application. 
• Submit the application along with original passport at the Immigration. Visa will be cancelled same time.

• If the family members are out of UAE, apart from the above mentioned procedures, Dh126 for each to be paid at Immigration office to take print out of exit details. This amount can be saved if the original passport is brought.

 There are 30 days grace period from the date of Visa expiry.
 Applicant can stay in UAE 30 days from the date of cancellation if his/her visa was not expired at the time of cancellation. If the cancellation done during the grace period, remaining days will be allowed to stay without fine. If the the cancellation done during overstay period, 6 days will be granted from the date of cancellation. 

 Fine Dh25 per day will be charged for overstay at the time of change status or exit.
 Fine can be paid at Immigration or Airport at the time of exit.

 No Ban for residence/family visa holders at the time of cancellation. 

Cancellation-Investor/Partner Visa

What are the procedures of Investor/Partner Visa cancellation in Dubai?
Required Documents:
• Original Passport
• Original Emirates ID
• Trade License copy & Partners List (for LLC)
• Immigration Establishment Card copy
• Typed e-form Application/Vision form (Can be typed from Typing Centre)
• Share Sale Agreement original attested by Notary Public or License cancellation Certificate issued by Department of Economic Development (incase of company liquidation)

Application Fee: Dh60 (Typing charge extra) to be paid at Typing Centre for canceling visa in the passport. 

STEPS TO FOLLOW
• Type application form. Put company seal and signature of the local sponsor, attach all above documents and submit at the Immigration counter along with original passport andEmirates ID. Visa will be cancelled same time. 

Grace Period: You shlould cancel your visa in the passport within 30 days from the date of visa expiry.
 Applicant can stay in UAE 29 days from the date of cancellation if his visa was not expired at the time of cancellation. If the cancellation done during the grace period, remaining days will be allowed to stay without fine. If the the cancellation done during overstay period, 6 days will be granted from the date of cancellation. 

 Fine Dh25 per day will be calculated for Residence visa overstay.
 Fine can be paid at Immigration or Airport at the time of exit.

Partner Visa Cancellation without Share Selling
If you want to cancel your Partner/Investor Visa without selling shares, you have to follow below procedures.
Type Arabic Letter from the side of local sponsor stating that he doesn't have objection for canceling the said partner without selling his shares. Local sponsor should be present at Immigration and sign the letter in front of the immigration officer. Then attach the letter with partner visa cancellation form. 

Partner Visa Cancellation (If the partner is out of UAE)
Get power of attorney from the partner giving authorization to any other partner in the company to sell his shares on behalf of him, to cancel his investor visa from Immigration Department, to receive partner deposit amount (if any) from Immigration Department and to sign all the necessary documents. This power of attorney should be attested by UAE Embassy in his country and UAE Foreign Affairs in Dubai. Arabic translation and attestation from Ministry of Justice also required if the power of attorney is not made in Arabic. Now the attorney can sign in the Share Sale Agreement on behalf of the said partner and complete the remaining procedures of cancellation.

Partner Visa Cancellation (If the partner is out of UAE more than Six Months)
Take personal file print of the partner from Immigration Department. Dh120 should be paid there for the print-out. Type Cancellation form from Typing Centre, put company seal, get  signature from the local sponsor, attach above mentioned documents and submit at Immigration.

e-DNRD Online Registration

All companies in Dubai should submit visa applications through www.ednrd.ae website. Entry permit Employment, New visa stamping, Visa renewal of staff and many other services can be completed without going to Immigration branches. New rule came into effect on 01/09/2015.

Registration Steps:

Fill Online Registration form, put seal of company and Signature of National Sponsor, attach Immigration Establishment Card copy (Minimum Validity: 6 months), License copy and passport copy of local Sponsor and submit at Immigration head office Jafliya, (Near Metro Station). Establishment Card Section, Main Building Left side. 
Other Branches: Al Tawar Centre, Al Manara Centre, Arabian Centre, Al Khail Mall Centre, DNATA Centre, JLT Centre, Dubai Airport Free Zone Centre, Bin Souqat Centre, DEWA Centre and Dubai Festival City.

Licenses under the same sponsor can be included in one application.

Fees: Take Token, submit at the counter and pay Dh at CBD counter inside the hall.

User ID and Password will come through Zajel Courier within a week. 

CBD Account: After receiving the User ID, apply for CBD (Commercial Bank of Dubai) CashOnline Account. Following documents are required.
Login to www.ednrd.ae with the User ID and Password you received through courier and print the Registration form.

How to Print: Home> Visa> Administration> Registration> Print Registration Form> Select Company> Choose your Company Name> Submit and Print the Form. Type PRO's Name, Mobile number, Company Stamp, Sponsor's Signature and submit at CBD branch near Immigration head office, Jafliya. 


E-gate

Two year Multiple-entry Visa will be issued for expatriate property owners, who meet the eligibility criteria.

• This Visa can be renewed, but the investor must remain out of the UAE for at least one month.

Dependents' Visa:  Property visa holder can sponsor his dependents on residence visa.

• The maximum permitted stay at once is six months. 

The investors will need to meet a set of requirements:

Property Worth: The property should be worth at least Dh1 million.

• It should be ready for the investor to move in.

Monthly income: It should be wholly owned by the investor and the investor must have a monthly income no less than  or equivalent in foreign currencies.

• The apartment or villa must be comfortable to accommodate the family of the investor.

• The investor is required to obtain the title of the property from the registration authority in the respective emirate,before he could be granted the visa.

Documents Required: 
• Title Deed of the property
• Police Clearance Certificate
• Passport copy & Photo

Time: Visa approval will take three weeks
Period of Visa: Two years


Fines (Visa, Labour Card, Mulikiya, OHC, Driving Lic, Trade Lic)

NOTE: In Dubai, If you are canceling employment visa after the grace period, you will have to show air ticket and pay Dh190 for out pass at the Immigration Department. Then you should exit within one week and enter on new visa if you have got new visa. There are 29days grace period from the date of visa expiry.

• If you are overstayed after canceling the previous visa or overstayed on visit/tourist visa, you must exit to Oman / Kish or home country and enter on new visa. Status change is not allowed for overstayed people. There are 29 days grace period from the date of cancellation.

Visit/Tourist Visa

How much is the fine if I overstayed on Visit/Tourist Visa?
• Fine for Visit visa/Tourist Visa over stay.
Dh200 for the first day and Dh100 for each consecutive day. This fine to be paid at Immigration or at the airport when the Visitor exits.

Personal Sponsorship: Incase the visitor overstays, you should pay fine as mentioned above and you will lose the 

Residence/Employment Visa

How much is the fine if I overstayed after cancellation of my Residence Visa?
• Fine for Residence Visa, Employment Visa overstay: Dh25 per day for first Six months. Dh50 per day fine for second Six months. Dh100 per day fine after one year. Fine will be calculated after 30 days of grace period. This fine to be paid at Immigration at the time of renewal or cancellation. If your overstay period is more, you should approach Aweer Immigration office to complete the procedures.

• Overstay after cancellation of Residence Visa and Employment Visa: Dh25 per day fine to be paid at the airport while going out. If your overstay period is more, follow the above steps.

Labour Card/Work Permit

How much is the fine for Labour Card if I did not renew after expiry?
Dh500 per month fine to be paid if delayed to submit new labour card application within 60 days from the date of entry/status change, or delayed to renew labour card within 60 days from the date of expiry. New fees effective from 04/01/2015.

Occupational Health Card

How much is the fine for Occupational Health Card after its expiry?
• Employee has to apply for this Card within 30 days from the date of his arrival/ Status Change. If delayed, Dh310 will be fined. Card must be renewed within 30 days from the date of expiry. Incase of delay fine Dh310 to be paid.
• If the employee is outside the country and his/her Occupational Health Card is expired, then he/she must renew the card within 5 working days from the date of entering the country.

Vehicle Registration Certificate / Mulikiya

How much is the fine for Vehicle Registration Certificate late renewal?
Fine for Mulkiya late renewal: Dh20 per month to be paid at RTA at the time of renewal.

Mission Visa

Is there any fine if the Mission Visa holder did not exit on expiry of his Visa?
Visa holder has to enter UAE within 14 days from the date of Visa issue. Within 30 days from the date of arrival, Medical and Labour Card processing must be completed. 

In case of failure to complete the said procedures within 30 days, fine for delay will be calculated at Dh100 for every day. Same fine will be charged for each day incase failed to renew labour card on completion of 3 months.

Upon the expiry of the renewal period of the mission visa, the holder has seven days to leave the UAE. In case of delay, Dh100 will be calculated for every day.

Family Visa-Dubai

Entry (Residence) Permit for Family of Expatriate

- New rule effective from 20/03/2016. Now Family visa procedure is easier than before. If you have all required documents ready, all steps can be completed from authorized Typing Centre. No need to visit Immigration office. 

- All charges, including Deposits, Courier and file opening fees will be processed through typing centre. Refund can be processed only to the sponsor’s Bank Account. IBAN(International Bank Account Number) of the Sponsor (applicant) is required.

- You need to visit the immigration (GDRFA) only if such SMS received. You will receive application status SMS about approval or modification. White colour Visa will be mailed to applicant's E-mail address after approval. If you need pink colour visa, you can visit any GDRFA Dubai branch after receiving approval SMS. No extra fee. Passengers from certain countries need pink colour visa for Emigration clearance.

Below mentioned documents are required in original for scanning at the typing centre.

• Passport Copies (colour) of Wife and children. 

• One photograph (white background) of each sponsored person.

• Sponsor's original passport and Emirates ID. 

• Original Marriage Certificate attested from UAE Embassy in Home Country and Foreign Affairs in UAE. For attestation requirements, Call: +97150-538 3545.

• Original Birth Certificate (for child) attested from UAE Embassy in Home Country and Foreign Affairs in UAE.

• Original EJARI Certificate & Electricity Bill. If you live out of Dubai, Municipality attested Tenancy Contract and Electricity Bill. Tenancy/Ejari should be in the name of the applicant or spouse.

• Original Labour Contract. (Minimum Salary Dh3000 + Accommodation orDh4000). Labour Contract can be printed from MOHRE website or Tas’heel Centre on payment of Dh53. Passport copy is enough for printing Labour Contract. No need attestation.

• Original Salary Certificate (for Free Zone / Semi Government / Government Staff)

• If the sponsor is Government or Semi-government Staff

• Last three months bank statement. Online print will not be accepted.

• IBAN (International Bank Account Number) of the Sponsor (applicant).

• Confirmation letter in Arabic for daughter older than 18, stating that she is still not married.Parent (sponsor) has to be signed on the letter.

Weak professions include: Follow up clerk, Archives Clerk,  Insurance Clerk, Sales, Sales Representative, Sales Executive etc. 

For Sales Executive: Dh4000 salary and Company provided Transportation is must (Transportation by First Party in Contract) 

Non-eligible professions include: Light Vehicle Driver, Messenger, Eye Glasses Salesman, Maintenance Mechanic General etc.

ENTRY: Visa holder should enter UAE within 60 days from the date of issue and should complete Emirates ID, Medical and Visa Stamping within 60 days from the date of entry/status change. If the the visa holder couldn't enter UAE within 60 days from the date of visa issue, visa can be renewed against payment of Dh360+typing charge. This renewal is allowed two times.

INSIDE COUNTRY: If the family is inside country on cancelled visa or Visit or Tourist Visa, application 


• After Status Change,  type Emirates ID, Medical and Visa Stamping forms.
 
IF THE SPONSOR IS INVESTOR/PARTNER: the following additional documents are required:
• Dh3020 Deposit for each family member. This amount is refundable after cancellation of the visa (Effective from 01/08/2014). 
• Trade License copy & partners List (second page of license)
• LLC Agreement (share value should not be less than Dh70,000)
• Bank Statement for the last three months

If the sponsor is Mother: NOC in Arabic from husband to sponsor the child by mother. If the husband is out of UAE, NOC has to be attested by UAE Embassy abroad and Ministry of Foreign Affairs inside the UAE. read more

• Copy of Service Agent Contract (for Professional License)
• Copy of the partnership contract attested by Notary Public, if any (for Professional License)
• Copy of Emirates ID application
• Copy of Immigration Establishment Card

Emirates ID application copy to be attached with Visa stamping form. Type Medical & ID application and go for Medical first, then do fingerprint at EIDA Centre near Medical Clinic. No need appointment for new visa holders.

Fees & Collection 
Dh760 for 3 years Urgent. Normal service not available. (new fees effective from 01/08/2014). Typing charge extra.
